Learn About the History of Boston Sports at The Sports Museum Details

The Sports Museum, housed on levels 5 and 6 of the TD Garden, boasts more than a half-mile of exhibits celebrating sports in Boston and beyond. Your visit will include a one-hour guided tour of the museum’s artifacts, uniforms, trophies, photographs, and more evidencing the rich heritage of Boston teams. Exhibit highlights include Bruins goalie Gerry Cheevers’ famous 1970s white masks decorated with his signature black stitch marks and a pair of size 23 sneakers worn by Shaquille O’Neal who played for the Celtics during the 2010-2011 season. Tickets to the museum are $15 for adults and $10 for children.

The Sports Museum also participates in community outreach, providing character-building, transformative educational programs that help and positively impact at-risk kids throughout the city and region. Boston vs. Bullies and Stand Strong use the power of sports to help kids build confidence and prevent and stop bullying. More than 25,000 students each year experience these Sports Museum educational programs.
